Over the 2014 Memorial day weekend, Kelsey and I took a spontaneous road trip to Montreal – a french-speaking and art-centric Canadian city located in the province of Quebec, just a few short driving hours from most cities in the Northeastern United States. We planned the four-day trip just one week in advance, had an absolute blast, and spent less than $500!

We are super excited to tell you all about it by offering an inspirational glimpse into a vibrant pseudo-European city, right here on Escaper.  You can expect us to let you in on all of our econo-traveling secrets, tips, and tricks too!

Over the next few days, we’ll be posting about our trip to Montreal including how we got there, the art we beheld, the food we ate, the fashions we sported (mostly Kelsey), the bumping nightlife, and how we secured an entire apartment in an amazing neighborhood all to ourselves for less than $50 a night.

And no, we’re not making this place up, it is very real – and for many Americans it is right in the backyard! In the meantime, here’s a quick glimpse into the city and some of the fun we had!  Comeback soon to learn all about an affordable trip to Montreal!
